Check out the result of the new Dr. Martens x Yohji Yamamoto collaboration.

For a couple months, now I’ve been wanting a pair of Dr. Martens, but I’m stuck with the dilemma of how to wear them.  Any suggestions?

  1. How about not wearing them?

I remember hearing about the revival of Dr. Martens, and I was shocked. Personally, I would never wear them on account that they aren’t aesthetically pleasing to me. But if you love them, by all means, wear them. The safest bet I guess, would be to tuck your jeans into them (make it extra srunchy).

  3. 😀

I have a love/hate relationship with so many things. I find Dr. Martens hideous, but in a good way that makes them quirky. I’d probably wear them with skinny jeans tucked in, but I’m still thinking about what I’d wear on top to balance them out.

  4. I know what you mean about love/hate relationships with clothes and the querkyness of these shoes. It’s like yin and yang for clothing, but these shoes just are a bit off the radar for me.

Since the shoes are kind of hard edged and masculine, you could easily play up some feminine pieces (softer fabrics, prints etc). Perhaps instead of focusing on what you would wear on top, you could play up the accessories like a scarf or subtle jewelry.

Or you could just go hard all the way…either way, I’m sure there’ll be a definite “look” with those shoes.

  6. id go with skinny jeans(possible black) and wear a lace shirt with a pull over of some sort like a leather jacket or colored jean jacket. Then add some unique jewlery like feathers or owls
