Dsquared²

This Canadian-twin-duo launched their label Dsquared² men’s collection in 1994 and women’s collection in 2003. Hailing from Toronto, Dean and Dan Caten moved to New York in 1983 to study at the prestigious Parsons The New School for Design. The Caten brothers eventually moved to Milan, Italy and worked as designers for the house of Gianni Versace and Diesel. Their ultra-sexy and urban attire often pays tribute to their Canadian heritage, though they are now based out of Italy. In 2002, Madonna asked the Caten brothers to design 150 pieces for her Drowned World Tour and in 2009, Dean and Dan designed the costumes for Britney Spears’s much anticipated comeback tour. The first Dsquared² flagship store opened in Milan in 2007.
