The Contenders: Men of the Year-For its latest issue, DuJour features a photo shoot with a lineup of impressive actors, who delivered some of 2014’s strongest performances. Photographed by Alex John Beck and styled by Paul Frederick, actors Benedict Cumberbatch, Eddie Redmayne and Gael Garcia Bernal sit for striking black & white portraits. Talking about playing English mathematician Alan Turing in ‘The Imitation Game’, Cumberbatch explains, “It’s an extraordinary thing to link this mild-mannered, slightly different scientist to the spying and secrets involved with killing the Enigma code. It’s a bit like ‘The Avengers’, except these are real superheroes and they did it all in a little town in the southeast of England–and they had to keep it quiet for 35 years.
