Australian fashion brand Bassike is headed stateside. The label will launch in the United States with its new store in Venice, Los Angeles. Bassike directors Deborah Sams and Mary Lou Ryan explain that the store is “perfectly aligned to the spirit and heritage of the Bassike brand.” Sams continues, “Venice has many synergies with Sydney’s Northen Beaches, particularly Avalon which is the birthplace of Bassike.” Ryan adds that “The Venice community cultivates a really great blend of surf, skate, art, fashion, food and well-being, and as somewhat of a lifestyle brand, Bassike sits really comfortably in this type of environment.” Located at 1918 Lincoln Boulevard, Bassike’s Venice store is slated for a September 2015 opening.
