Antonio Marras Spring/Summer 2015–Timely with the 2014 World Cup in full swing, designer Antonio Marras looked to the sport of soccer for inspiration when approaching his spring/summer 2015 collection. The popular sport provided an infectious new vehicle for Marras’ designs. Juxtaposed with a 1950s style reference, printed trousers were cropped and paired with a fun selection of shirting, ranging from short-sleeve shirts with graphics to hooded shirts with printed panels. Along for the ride were green and yellow ensembles undoubtedly inspired by São Paulo, Brazil. Marras also strikes up a casual jester with the use of denim, reinventing the classic in a tailored form. Pair that with shirts dressed in soccer balls, polka dots and vertical lines–you had a winning collection or shall we say a winning goal!
