The Dark Coming–Alexandre Plokhov’s design outlook was indeed dark for the approaching spring/summer 2013 season. Kicking off the collection with a sea of black, Plokhov’s uniform of choice was born from black and executed with a modern point of view. Classic staples such as the trench and overcoat offered a tailored perspective, while a contemporary flair flourished with sleeveless coats, plunging necklines, billowing trousers, light layers and treated fabrics. Add a splash of white to round out the collection and the lineup overall was an awakening with hard structured pieces playing against their soft frail counterparts for a smart mix.
